I LOVE people and have never met a stranger.
Our Guardian Program enables us to expand our program and enhance our breeds while ensuring the well-being and affection of our dogs. We recognize that, although we aim to keep all of our dogs with us, they ultimately benefit from individual attention that we may not be able to provide.
As a guardian home, you will serve as the permanent residence for one of our breeding dogs throughout their time in our program. Upon retirement (and following spaying/neutering at our expense), full ownership will be transferred to the guardian family, allowing you to keep the dog as a cherished member of your family indefinitely. By becoming a Guardian Home, you will have the opportunity to welcome one of our puppies or young adults into your household, all while they remain part of our program at no initial cost to you.
Through our Guardian Program, we aim to ensure that our dogs enjoy the highest quality of life in a nurturing home, where they receive ample individual attention and care.
Frequently Asked Questions...
Is There a Cost to Become a Guardian?
There is no cost associated with becoming a guardian. You will receive a high-quality dog that has been carefully selected for our program at no upfront expense..
What Are the Transportation Responsibilities?
Guardians are responsible for all transportation arrangements to and from our facility. Additionally, if you have a female dog, you will need to take her to the veterinarian for an ultrasound unless you are able to bring her to us for that appointment.
What Expenses Are Guardian Families Responsible For?
Guardians are responsible for all regular dog care expenses, including food, treats, toys, and other necessities. They are also responsible for routine veterinary care that is not related to breeding. Guardians must ensure that the dog remains up to date on vaccinations, as well as flea and tick prevention and heartworm medication, all at their expense. Guardians are also responsible for grooming costs while they are in the guardians care.
We do not require a specific grooming cut or style; however, we do ask that the dog's coat is well-maintained and free from matting. This necessitates regular brushing and grooming.
During the time the dog is in our care, we reserve the right to groom and bathe the dog to maintain cleanliness, particularly following whelping.
Our dogs serve as ambassadors for our program, and it is important that they are well-groomed, as we often take photographs of them during their stay. We also appreciate receiving updated photos from our guardian families for sharing purposes.
